The numbers
- 183 units added in January–June 2026
- 73 greenfield centres, 110 brownfield expansions
- 63 in the first quarter, 120 in the second
US-headquartered companies accounted for most additions, but European groups remain active, especially in banking, insurance, automotive, industrial engineering and retail.
What is driving it
- Demand for AI, data and cloud engineering at scale
- Companies moving from outsourcing to owned capability
- Engineering and R&D work for automotive, aerospace and industrial products
- Expansion beyond the largest hubs into cities such as Kochi, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad
For European companies
Competition for senior talent in the main hubs is intense. A clear purpose and a good reputation as an employer matter more than ever.
For European professionals
